May 13, 2008 Dear Mr. C.: Thank you for contacting me regarding H.R. 2046, the Internet Gambling Regulation and Enforcement Act of 2007. I appreciate hearing from you. The bill was introduced by Representative Barney Frank on April 26, 2007. The bill was referred to the House Committee on Financial Services and the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. This bill would provide for the licensing of Internet gambling facilities by the Director of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network.
